Our annual Spaghetti Festival is a central celebration of our mission to showcase and support the creation of boundary-breaking experimental comedy and live performance in Los Angeles. We invite the public to pitch us a big-swing idea for a show that lives only in their imagination, and has never seen the light of day. Selected artists work under a fast-approaching deadline: they have three months to bring their idea to life for a world-premiere on the Elysian stage. Showrunners receive artistic, production, and promotional support, subsidized rehearsal space, creative matchmaking, professional development, workshops, and industry panels. The Elysian team cheerleads the artists through the creative process, scaffolding them with resources while encouraging them to dream big for our small stage, to experiment, to dare to fail, to dare to be glorious–to throw spaghetti at the wall, and see what sticks. This year, over the four-day span of the 2025 Spaghetti Festival, the Elysian will premiere twenty brand new shows across our stages.
