🍝

🍝 〰️

Syrian Slipper: a Rom Com is the tale of a traditional wooden bathroom slipper who falls in love with an upstairs house shoe. When a Shoe Revolution breaks out and a slipper goes missing, he must decide between the fight for freedom...and his Solemate.

Edib Farhan is a Syrian standup comedian, clown, and conflict mediator. They made a promise to the martyrs of the Syrian Revolution that they would use their voice to tell the truth — so they had no choice but to become a comedian. They have studied comedy with the Idiot Workshop, Natasha Mercado, Claire Woolner, Groundlings, Upright Citizen's Brigade, and iO Theater. Their co-created sketch and standup show won Best of Fringe at San Francisco Fringe Festival 2024, and their solo show, Syrian Soap won the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival Diversity Scholarship and was featured in the LA Times and Autostraddle.

Natasha Mercado is a performer, writer, and director whose work lives where vulnerability and absurdity meet. A first-generation mixed-Latina artist, she creates worlds that are intimate, strange, and unapologetically alive. Her work centers the intelligence of the body and the audience relationship, building comedy through presence and invitation. Natasha is the creator of Soft Clown, a performance philosophy that treats sensitivity as a strength and pleasure as a compositional tool. Her award-winning solo works Tree and #1 Son have toured internationally from Hollywood to the Edinburgh Fringe, earning sold-out runs and over 50 award nominations. Natasha has appeared on HBO, Adult Swim, Broadway Video and TBS, and was named an Emerging Content Creator by the National Association of Latino Independent Producers.
