It’s The Elysian’s very own PLAYSPACE! A weekly community event to play together, workshop ideas big and small, or come completely unprepared and find something new. Playspace is not a show or a regular open mic. It’s a place where you get to hang out and go on stage and do that thing you do.

Off The Wall is a fully improvised mic brought to you by Dax Hilton, Nick Durvasula, Dante Gonzales-Abreu, Shawn Zapp, and Misha Perez. 

Every comic will go up twice. Each time they'll do 3 minutes.

ROUND 1: 100% Riffs. The audience can shout suggestions, or the performer can use the suggestions on pieces of paper hung off the wall. When you're not on stage you will be writing based on the suggestions heard, the comic performing, or anything that comes to mind! The point is to just riff and write anything and everything, it doesn't matter if it's bad! (But if it is, someone might write a joke about it...)

ROUND 2: Time to show off what you wrote! Now that the audience isn't buried in their phones/notebooks or shouting anything that comes to mind, you get to workshop these brand new ideas and concepts that were born in that room with that group of people. Who knows, you might just discover your next great bit!
