A stand up show and solo act in one, “How to Embarrass Your Immigrant Parents” is a biting and irreverent storytelling experience that explores a pertinent universal theme: wanting to understand your parents but struggling to see eye-to-eye. Throughout the course of an hour, Abby takes the viewer on an intimate, hilarious, soul-bearing journey about her struggles with mental health, fitting in, and finding common ground with the ones you love even after they’ve hurt you.

Join Sara Caplan (UCB, Chill Touch, Joy Who Lived) for a brand new lecture every month! Topics will include the philosophy of mind, gender theory, fascism, Alone Australia Season 2, or whatever else she happened to get hyperfixated on that month. Think of it like a video essay, but performed live, and with plenty of opportunity for questions and audience interaction throughout. Some months, she will also be joined by a guest lecturer who will give a talk on a related (or unrelated) theme. Sara is a comedian, trans woman, and also about to be a graduate student in philosophy at Cal State LA!

Sarah Shtern hosts this immersive spectacle of Showbiz tradition in this very-physical comedy satire show. Stand-up! Broadway! Vaudeville! The Yiddish Theater! Good Showbiz has it all.
Sarah will attempt to perform the entirety of this absurdist one man show live directed by the man himself. It’s a classic tradition that clown couples do all the time.
This should be a fun way to spend your Thursday night.
Shterminator Presents: Brain Rot Open Mic (The Vault)
Brain rot open mic is a bold and daring breakdown on the concept of an open mic. Hosted by Sarah Shtern, a clown who swears she’s a standup comedian. The only open mic where there is an endless steam of brain rot content being played while you perform. Anything goes here! Standup, clown, characters, dance, music, performance art. You are given 3-4 minutes, a microphone and a stage- what you do with that time is completely up to you.

Good Showbiz
Good Showbiz is a celebration of the spirit and vibrant history of Jewish Theater. Eli Leonard (Curb Your Enthusiasm) hosts this immersive spectacle of Showbiz tradition in this very-physical comedy satire show. Stand-up! Broadway! Vaudeville! The Yiddish Theater! Good Showbiz has it all. While this is a theater show at its core, Leonard will make it abundantly clear that Good Showbiz is also, quite practically, his business. To be in the Good Showbiz audience is to participate in the vital work of bringing this show to life, and for that work, all participants will be fairly compensated.

After years of spreading heinous rumors behind each other’s back on their respective coasts, these two confirmed bachelors reunite to put on the most unhinged, fundamentally evil showcase of comedic talent.
God is a Woman - The Musical
Imagine if the Bible had been translated by women. This one-woman show from British BAFTA Breakthrough comedian Luisa Omielan is a pitch for a musical - think a Female Book of Mormon, before it got funded or found a producer. This time, it’s all about Mary Magdalene. Let’s rewrite Herstory.
