Brought to you by former adult virgin and NYC comedian Syd King, it's Saint Sydney!
This solo show takes Syd's 12 years of attending an Indiana Catholic school and looks at why she took purity culture terribly seriously; shamed friends for OWNING yoga pants, SLAPPED PEOPLE WHEN THEY CURSED, and did almost anything but love thy neighbor. Syd is now publicly atoning for her sins and comforting anyone that says "not really" when a doctor asks if they are sexually active, a little better. Directed by Vannessa Jackson (SNL, Colbert, A Black Lady Sketch Show).
Syd King is a NYC based comedian originally from Indiana. Her “witty and misguided innocence” is inspired by her Catholic upbringing, being a theater kid, and her Disney Adult proclivities. Sydney has been featured at Edinburgh Fringe Fest, NY Comedy Festival, SF Sketch Fest, Asheville Comedy Fest , and more, including the time she sang on SNL. She is the co-host of the Good Girls Gone Sad podcast, a member of Fun in Moderation sketch team, and a member of SAG-AFTRA.
