Funny Games is a fast-paced comedy show/open mic lottery hosted by Jo Scott, Meaghan Strickland, and Tim Lamphier. This hybrid comedy show pairs open mic slots with a couple of scheduled comedians providing the audience with the watchability of a curated show and the opportunity of an open mic!

Your Cabbage Queens are back to host FUNKY CABBAGE—a weekly lottery mic to try out jokes that are funky before they turn great! Funky Cabbage isn’t your typical open mic—it’s a supportive space uplifting performers while enjoying some Cabbage Chaos. Where work-in-progress sets thrive and everyone from first-timers to seasoned pros are welcome.

It’s The Elysian’s very own PLAYSPACE! A weekly community event to play together, workshop ideas big and small, or come completely unprepared and find something new. Playspace is not a show or a regular open mic. It’s a place where you get to hang out and go on stage and do that thing you do.

So come on over every Wednesday and sign up for playtime on stage when you arrive - it’s FREE! You could try out a new clowning bit or jam with others and let the fun times flow. Solo performers and ensembles welcome!

Hosted by Laurina Sacchetti, YAPPY HOUR is an open mic for all performers, comedy‑curious, and anyone with something to say come to YAP it out. Clowns, musicians, stand-ups, poets, YOU NAME IT! Every Wednesday at The Elysian, each performer gets 5 minutes (first come, first served) to let you run wild. It’s donation‑based and sponsored by the delicious Hot Tongue Pizza for the performers. The host chooses a "best set" and that person get to HEADLINE the following week. It’s the perfect spot to test new jokes, meet new friends, and maybe walk away feeling happy to be YAPPY. @yappyhourla

Brain rot open mic is a bold and daring breakdown on the concept of an open mic. Hosted by Sarah Shtern, Nikki Hartung, & Jack Pineda. The only open mic where there is an endless steam of brain rot content being played while you perform.

Anything goes here! Standup, clown, characters, dance, music, performance art. You are given 3-4 minutes, a microphone and a stage- what you do with that time is completely up to you. Brain rot open mic is like a TikTok but real and worse. It’s like a TikTok but it’s an open mic. It’s actually not “like” a “TikTok” at all it’s something new and innovative that defies form and genre. It requires your full undivided attention.

Proppa Laff is a mic for women and queer comics to try out new sets, characters, and bits! Bucket sign-ups at 5:15, 5:30pm start.

Local clowns/performers in your area throw up things they are working on! Come see some over 15 artists at work. This wild show will be UNPREDICTABLE and often INTERACTIVE. Folks are encouraged to provide feedback to artists who ask for it on their work-in-progress pieces!

Every other Monday at 5:30 PM

A night of clown and improv where the audience is part of the show. The night starts with a jam where audience members are invited to take the stage, tag in, and create scenes alongside the performers. No experience needed, just a sense of curiosity and adventure. Then, sit back as seasoned improvisers take everything that’s been stirred up — the energy, themes, and beautiful chaos — and spin it into a second act.
