How To Stand (Up) (6 Weeks)

Stand-up comedy is one of the most individual and specific styles of comedic performance, every stand-up is, essentially, creating their own discipline and approach. This six-week class will help performers new to stand-up understand the framework and fundamentals of writing and performance, and how to learn from stage time to grow as comedians.

The class will be focused on identifying and cultivating a comedic voice, using that voice to build a five minute set, and building tools to give that set life at every show. At the same time, we will use the class to build a community comics can use as a foundation for building relationships in the larger comedy scene.
