¡Urchinpop! presents: PRIDE PARTY

❤️

❤️

❤️ ❤️

¡Urchinpop! is a major variety show with a minor in drag. Join hosts Lu Pole, Twinkothee Chalagay, and Gram Cañon for a night of high-concept, full throttle lip syncs, pageantry, and games. This show is a space for drag artists, clowns and comedians to showcase their weird/ silly/ vulnerable acts, with host banter at a minimum and host grinding to the max. The theme of this show is PRIDE PARTY and there will be a runway moment, so come dressed like you're Mx. June of the Gay Times Calendar. We have a thrilling line-up of LA's best Kings, Queens, Theydies and Gents, so come with an open mind and an open wallet of dollar bills.

Featuring:

  • Camirin Farmer

  • Manny Oakley

  • Kat Toledo

  • & More!

Hosted by Lu Pole, Twinkothee Chalagay, and Gram Cañon

  • Eleanor Monahan is a genderfluid writer, director, and drag performer (AKA Lu Pole) based in Los Angeles, CA. She grew up working class in Boston, MA, is still working class, and she doesn’t see that changing anytime soon. Monahan attended Emerson College for Screenwriting and Fiction (2012). She spent an inordinate amount of time around rich people and used to feel ashamed of being poor. This has laid the groundwork digging deeper into life on the margins in her creative works, including her short film My Beloved, starring Ani Raya-Flores and featuring Michael Showalter. Monahan can be heard on the newly released Audible Original Podcast Excessive, starring Chloe Fineman and Joshua Jackson from Broadway Video. She also contributed to Excessive as a staff writer. She regularly writes and performs drag both solo and with her collaborator Ani Raya-Flores under their joint drag moniker ¡Urchinpop!

Twinkothee Chalagay is an LA based twink who loves to philander peaches, plums, citrus fruits, and select vegetables including but not limited to squash. When he’s not intertwined with some fresh produce, you can find him acting in films such as Call Me Bi (2017), Boners & All (2022), and sci-fi film Poon (2021). He has performed at The Lyric Hyperion and Second City, and is excited for his debut at The Elysian.

Analisa Raya-Flores is a writer, actor, and drag king (aka Gram Cañon). Her fiction can be seen in Glimmer Train and Monkeybicycle. Her face can be seen in the short film My Beloved (dir. Eleanor Monahan). Her solo show SANTA FOR LOCOS premiered at the Elysian's Spaghetti Festival in 2022, and she's currently developing a film about Chicana park rangers with fellow tiny king Tallie Medel. When she isn't writing or dragging, Analisa can be found working and worrying all over LA.
