It’s like if The Voice got bodyslammed by Pee-wee’s Playhouse. Contestants get 60 seconds to cut a promo, show off a character, or do whatever it takes to prove they belong.

Roles for Initiative LA is a Dungeons & Dragons-themed improv comedy show where characters are thrust into an adventure inspired by the audience. Join Sara Caplan (UCB, Chill Touch, Joy Who Lived) for a brand new lecture every month! Topics will include the philosophy of mind, gender theory, fascism, Alone Australia Season 2, or whatever else she happened to get hyperfixated on that month. Think of it like a video essay, but performed live, and with plenty of opportunity for questions and audience interaction throughout. Some months, she will also be joined by a guest lecturer who will give a talk on a related (or unrelated) theme.
